Dr. Jothi is a dedicated and passionate Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with a strong background in academic and clinical practice. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2009. Following graduation, he joined Hospital UKM (HUKM) as a Dental Officer in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and later served as a Trainee Lecturer in the same department.

After four years of service at HUKM, Dr. Jothi was awarded a prestigious scholarship to pursue specialist training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Hong Kong, one of Asia’s leading institutions. In 2012, he also obtained the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDSRCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Upon completing his specialization, Dr. Jothi returned to Malaysia and served as a Lecturer and Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM and the Faculty of Dentistry, UKM, from 2016 to 2023. He was actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education and held the role of Course Coordinator for Undergraduate Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Jothi’s clinical expertise spans a wide spectrum of maxillofacial procedures, including facial trauma management, orthognathic surgery, and dental implantology. His special interest lies in managing surgical patients with dental anxiety through sedation techniques, ensuring a calm and safe experience for his patients. He is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care while staying abreast of advancements in his field.

An active contributor to academic research, Dr. Jothi has published in several peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for both national and international scientific publications. He is also a Key Opinion Leader for a leading dental implant company and frequently conducts professional training on surgical implantology.
